The T-slot platform has undergone stability treatment and demagnetization. The vertical tolerance between the working surface of the T-slot platform and the side surfaces, as well as between adjacent side surfaces, is Grade 12 (as specified in GB1184-80 "Geometric Tolerances"). The hardness of the T-slot platform working surface should be between HB170-220 or 187-255.
To prevent deformation of the T-slot platform, when hoisting the cast iron plate, use four steel cables of the same length to simultaneously lift the four lifting holes on the cast iron plate, and hoist the cast iron plate steadily onto the transport vehicle. During installation of the T-slot platform, ensure the support points of the cast iron plate are properly padded and leveled, with each support point bearing uniform force to keep the entire cast iron plate stable. Technicians will then adjust the cast iron plate to meet the required precision.

T-slot platform processes such as turnover, loading and unloading, gate removal, as well as the placement of castings during heat treatment and cooling methods, can all cause deformation of the castings. So, how to reduce deformation of the T-slot platform? First, the wax pattern must not deform. 1. During pressing, strictly follow the process operations, use air as much as possible for demolding; immediately after removal, place it in cold water to stop cooling. If necessary, design anti-deformation fixtures or set up cooling wax blocks, or design anti-deformation ribs or reverse deformation on the wax part. During the wax pattern process, inspect the wax pattern for deformation before demolding, trimming, and assembly. 2. In the coating process, pay attention to the fixed spacing between mold groups, handle carefully during slurry and sand dipping, and consider reinforcement for large flat structures in mold shell thickness design. 3. Mold shell baking should be arranged in a single layer, and the casting cavity should be as free from stress as possible. The gating system design for the T-slot platform should be reasonable to reduce casting stress and shrinkage. Similarly, the casting should solidify as simultaneously as possible to avoid internal stress caused by uneven shrinkage. Aim for high-temperature melting and low-temperature pouring. 4. During turnover between processes, handle the T-slot platform gently to avoid bumps. During heat treatment, arrange the castings orderly to prevent stacking, and be especially careful with thin-walled parts.
Specific reasons for the loss of accuracy in T-slot platforms include: unclean working environment of the cast iron channel, which not only causes measurement errors but also increases wear. When the hardness of the cast iron channel measurement surface is too low, it is prone to wear. Therefore, correct use of the cast iron channel can simply maintain the precision of the flat plate. Excessive measuring force on the T-slot platform can cause deformation or premature wear.
Main inspection items for T-slot platforms: A. Material and surface hardness. B. Geometric tolerances, including nominal dimensions and perpendicularity tolerance. C. Appearance. D. Flatness. E. Contact points. F. Plane fluctuation. G. Allowable deflection value of the working surface. H. Surface roughness. ] Accuracy parameters: Grade 3 flat plates do not specify contact point requirements. Grade 1 T-slot platforms require at least 20 contact points in any 25×25mm area. Grade 2 flat plates require at least 12 contact points in any 25×25mm area.
Good inoculation treatment of the T-slot platform has the following effects: eliminates or reduces the tendency for chill; prevents the formation of undercooled structures; reduces the wall thickness sensitivity of the T-slot platform, minimizing differences in microstructure and hardness between thin and thick sections of the casting; promotes nucleation of eutectic clusters, increasing their number; results in mainly fine and uniformly distributed Type A graphite in the cast iron, thereby improving its mechanical properties. Well-inoculated T-slot platforms have better fluidity, reduced shrinkage, improved machinability, and reduced residual stress.
When using a cast iron plate, handle the workpiece gently. Avoid moving rough workpieces on the cast iron plate to prevent bumps, scratches, or other damage to the working surface. To prevent overall deformation of the cast iron plate, it is recommended to remove heavy workpieces after use to avoid long-term pressure causing deformation.
